What is a Future EduMaker?

Too often we can become mired in the cynicism that comes with the frustration many educators experience when trying to make change in their practice, within a system that is linear, values high stakes summative assessment, needs to quantify everything and anything students do in order to be able to justify funding, appease parent concern, and be able to be quoted during an election campaign.

But where are the students in this picture...and where are the teachers?

When we began to think about the Future EduMakers project...it was to unpack and explore what @stephenheppell meant when he said "It may be the death of education, but it's the dawn of learning."

Working with Professor Stephen Heppell is always a pleasure and now we've got 9 months through which to sustain this relationship, to build our networks, to nurture understanding and to start being the change WE want to see in the education space.

It's about voice and empowerment....about joining together, creating a movement....about catching the nearest wave and riding it, creating our own path and seeing where it takes us....seeing the beauty and potential and harnessing our energies to achieve the transformation we want to see.

There is no limit to what we can do together. Can't wait to see who joins us on this journey.
